Performing health assessment tests is one of the requirements for obtaining a license in the production and use of pharmaceutical and health products in the world and in Iran. Drug health assessment tests are based on global standards such as the OECD and ISO, which aim to achieve possible side effects of the drug in humans or animals. Since, according to the definitions in the standards, the results obtained from these tests are similar to the effects of the same drug in humans, therefore, many drug quality control organizations around the world, such as the FDA, use standardized tests to verification and certify food supplements, vaccines, medical devices, veterinary products, health and beauty products, nano-products, and especially drugs. 

In our country, almost all pharmaceutical products are required to perform standard tests and obtain approval from the Food and Drug Administration before entering the market. These tests are classified and specified based on the type of material and its application through standard instructions. Currently, many health tests are performed to review a variety of drugs, including ointments, creams, shampoos, eye drops, disinfectants, as well as health and cosmetics, and even herbs and nanomaterials with a license from the Drug and Food Administration at the Experimental Medical Research Center.
